Meditate yourself into loving yourself

 

Isn’t it a plague of our modern world ? The lack of love for oneself. You might think it does not apply to you and perhaps it does not. I challenge you however, to observe your thoughts more carefully during the course of a few weeks.

 

How many times do you feel guilty? How many times do you feel frustrated and angry at yourself for whatever reason? How many times do you beat up on yourself because you are not doing the things you THINK you are supposed to do?

 

I guess at this point a lot of you might actually reconsider if you actually love yourself. It’s ok to feel like that especially in a world with so many subliminal and not-so-subliminal messages.

 

The pressures of family, of peers, of society, media (all of them) and ourselves. The really important thing we need to do is to embrace whatever we are feeling, no matter how shitty then let go.

 

Catch and let go. Do not catch and get attached. That will only let more shit pile up. You want to water the plants, not the weeds.

 

You want to see the good, encourage the good and grow the good. The not-so-good, you can let go of, with kindness, not with bitterness and anger.

 

Slowly but most definitely sure, you will know how to be kinder to yourself, your heart and your mind. You will understand on a deeper level, the transient nature of things and conditioning.

Soothing yourself will get easier and easier. You will be able to weather any storm that might befall you on the inside. The more and more you do it. The lighter you will feel and the more happiness, joy, and peace you will have.
